National Telecommunication Metrology Station(NTMS) was established through the approval of the State Bureau of Technical Supervision on October 20, 1992 (Document No. 460, 1992 “Notification of the establishment of the National Telecommunication Metrology Station”). It is under the leadership of the State Bureau of Technical Supervision to perform metrology verification test of metrological instrument in telecommunication area around the country authorized by the State Bureau of Technical Supervision.
The main responsible of NTMSis to research and set up the highest national public metrology standards authorized by the State Bureau of Technical Supervision and the highest telecommunication metrology standards in the Ministry of Information Industry as well as quality check and test system for relative telecommunication products, to research on telecommunication test technology, test measures and test method, to draw up test standards and telecommunication metrology verification regulations for relative telecommunication products as well as other related technical specifications, to provide training for telecommunication metrology test engineers, to perform verification and calibration for telecommunication instrument and quality supervision test for telecommunication products.
Beijing Quality Supervision Test Center for Telephone Switching Equipment of MII (QSTCTSE) was established through the approval of the former Ministry of Post and telecommunications in 1989 (Document No. 431, 1989). It performs quality supervision test of telephone switching equipment and other related telecommunication equipment.
Quality Supervision Test Center for Telecommunication Electromagnetic Compatibility of MII (QSTCEMC) was established through the approval of the Organization Administration Committee of the Ministry of Information Industry on Dec.20, 2001 (Document No. 20, 2001). It performs EMC quality supervision test of telecommunication equipment and other related equipment.
Telecommunication Software Evaluation Center of MII(TSEC) was established through the approval of the Organization Administration Committee of the Ministry of Information and industry on Jun.22, 2005(Document No.7, 2005). It performs telecommunication testing, software procedure and capability Mutuality Evalution.
To enforce and improve standard management level and to guarantee the quality of verification, calibration, test and type-approval work, NTMS passed the accreditation of verification/calibration laboratory by China National Accreditation Committee for Laboratories (CNACL) in October 1999. Afterwards it passed 4 times of scope-expansion accreditation. National Telecommunication Metrology Station passed countercheck for the metrology authorization organized by the State Bureau of Technical Supervision in September 2002. Beijing Quality Supervision Test Center for Telephone Switching Equipment of MII and Quality Supervision Test Center for Telecommunication Electromagnetic Compatibility of MII passed the accreditation for metrology authentication/check in May and October 2002, respectively. In addition, EMC lab of TMC was listed by FCC in Sept. 5, 2000. It passed the accreditation for testing laboratory by DATech on Jan. 25, 2001. In May 2002, it was approved by the National Accreditation and Authentication Supervision Committee to perform 3C compulsive authentication test of mobile terminal equipment.
National Telecommunication Metrology Station, Beijing Quality Supervision Test Center for Telephone Switching Equipment of MII and Quality Supervision Test Center for Telecommunication Electromagnetic Compatibility of MII are all subject to the administration of TMC. |
